Why Defining What Your Strengths are Matters

Your talents and strengths make up your Brand Equity.  This is the foundation of Brand You. You must spend some time carefully considering all you do. Don’t devalue yourself, but instead, be positive and acknowledge your strengths. 

So, what are your talents? Your natural God-given gifts?  You must first be clear on what your strengths are so you can develop them to advance your career.  Since many people get more criticism on what they don’t do well, you may find it hard to write out your key strenghs. Begin by letting your brain work on assessing the positive talents you do exhibit. Your strengths are innate and they’ve been displayed throughout your life in your earlier activities – i.e. natural sales or persuasive skills, artistic ability with color, building designs, etc.  You may wish to revert to honing some old talents, such as writing or public speaking.

For a happier life my goal for you is this:  uniting your soul’s passion with your vocational talents. Your passion is the interest that ignites your enthusiasm to keep pursing a career you get immense joy from doing.
